‘Running Point’ Recap & Ending Explained: Will Isla Gordon Return For Season 2?

The new sports comedy series on Netflix, Running Point, made it quite obvious from the premise that it is heavily inspired by the life of Jeanie Buss, the president of the LA Lakers, but ultimately turns out to be more of a caricature-ish spoof of her and the Buss family. The series follows a woman named Isla Gordon, who is suddenly made the president of her family-run basketball team, the Los Angeles Waves, during an already tumultuous season when the team is struggling on and off the court. Overall, Running Point is mostly just mindless comedy without any real charm and is worth a watch only if you are looking for some very light American humor.
