Jinshi and the Emperor’s Dynamics Were Cut Out of ‘The Apothecary Diaries’ Despite Almost Turning Maomao Into a Royal Consort
The Apothecary Diaries has garnered a massive fan following since it began airing in 2023. The ongoing Season 2 has only made the fan base bigger. Jinshi and Maomao as the main characters obviously are a huge reason behind it.

The enigmatic Emperor, too, has attracted many people. Episode 7, which was aired last week, though, seems to have created a tad bit of a conflict in the growing fandom.
Although the anime does a terrific job of adapting Natsu Hyuga’s story, the subtler storytelling has altered one key aspect from the manga. Especially since it has resulted in the absence of a sequence that could have given a better insight into Jinshi and the Emperor’s relationship.
