Chris Rock getting smacked and screamed at by Will Smith at the Academy Awards ceremony in 2022 will forever go down as one of the most infamous moments in the history of the Oscars. Three years after the event, Rock has commented on possibly returning to the Oscars to serve as host, and he hasn't written off the idea.

“You never know,” Rock told E! News. “This is what I would say, the most miserable people on earth are people that can’t forgive. And not just people, you have to forgive yourself sometimes. So, hey, you never know.”

I live in forgiveness.

When asked if he's completely moved on from the incident three years later, Rock added, “I live in forgiveness. True love starts at forgiveness.”
