The next Creepypasta tale to make the leap to the screen is The Third Parent, with Deadline reporting today that Crispin Glover will be starring alongside Rob Lowe in the film.

Crispin Glover will play villain Tommy Taffy, with Roselyn Sanchez also on board to star in The Third Parent.

Bleecker Street has acquired North American distribution rights, with a nationwide theatrical release planned. Bleecker Street’s Andrew Karpen and Kent Sanderson said in a joint statement, “Crispin Glover’s Tommy Taffy will be the next great horror villain.” “We believe this will be a singular and terrifying theatrical experience,” the statement continues.

The Third Parent takes place amidst a Fourth of July celebration when a disturbing figure named Tommy Taffy emerges, disguising himself as a human to infiltrate a suburban neighborhood and impose authoritarian rule over an unsuspecting family.
