The Colombian Netflix original Medusa tells the story of Barbara Hidalgo, the newly appointed CEO of the Colombian conglomerate, Medusa. Soon after becoming CEO, Barbara is nearly killed when her yacht explodes at sea. She’s saved by a native healer who sends her back to her family so she can uncover the mystery of who tried to kill her. Soon enough, Barbara realizes she’s made enemies everywhere, and with the help of Detective Danger and a close officer worker, Gabriel, she has to discover all her and her family’s dirty little secrets. The 12-episode series is quite predictable, and in Medusa’s ending, it becomes obvious who attempted to kill Barbara and why—an unimpressive story if you ask me.
