A Day to Remember’s Physical-Only Album Release Scores Top 10 Chart Position
A Day to Remember surprise-released their new LP Big Ole Album Vol. 1 on February 18th exclusively on vinyl and CD, and the physical-only strategy appears to have paid off. The album is in the Top 10 on a handful of notable Billboard charts.
The Florida band dropped Big Ole Album Vol. 1 on the same day they announced the album, only making it available in record stores and via mail order. The band’s eighth studio effort won’t arrive digitally until March 21st.
After its first week of release, it hit No. 27 on Billboard‘s Top Album Sales chart with 4,000 copies sold. However, as Billboard reports, the LP shot up to No. 5 on the same tally a week later with roughly 10,000 additional units moved, as mail-order sales were tabulated.
