Invincible War, in the original comics, was a single-issue event that saw Angstrom Levy raid Earth with a slew of alternate Marks, in the hopes of completely demolishing Invincible’s character and his world, causing him to suffer another tragedy and for Levy to have his vengeance.

While it would be obvious that they would try to wrap this up in a single episode, that seems to not have necessarily been the case during the production of the episode, as revealed by co-showrunners Robert Kirkman and Simon Racioppa.
