The official website for Detective Conan: One-eyed Flashback , the upcoming 28th feature film in the Detective Conan/Case Closed anime franchise, announced today that the film will also screen simultaneously in 55 IMAX theaters, 12 MX4D theaters, 62 4Dx theaters, and 9 Dolby Cinema theaters on April 18, the day of the film's nationwide release. Combined with the regular version, the film will screen in a total of 522 theaters in Japan, which is the largest number in the history of the Detective Conan anime franchise. The franchise's previous 27th film, Case Closed: The Million-dollar Pentagram , screened in 515 theatres when it opened in Japan on April 12, 2024, so this year, even seven more theaters will be showing the Conan film than last year.
