'It Was Driving Me Crazy': Zendaya Had to Calm Robert Pattinson Over 1 Scene in Upcoming A24 Film
Zendaya and Robert Pattinson co-star in The Drama, A24's upcoming rom-com film. Pattinson said he was so committed to the story that he obsessed over a scene, until Zendaya calmly explained its meaning.
Announced in development in August 2024, A24's The Drama is currently in post-production. Directed by Kristoffer Borgli (Dream Scenario), the upcoming film is a rom-com about an engaged couple (played by Zendaya and Robert Pattinson) facing a hurdle before the wedding. Details on the plot are scarce, but Pattinson already teased its layered meanings. Speaking to French outlet Premiere (via IndieWire), he recalled obsessing over one scene's context, so much so that he called Zendaya, who convinced him not to read too much into the script. Calmly assured, he realized he was overthinking.
"We had a scene together that was driving me crazy," Pattinson said. "I was desperately looking for its meaning, writing pages and pages of textual analysis.
