In Jujutsu Kaisen, Mahito is a villain who gained notoriety as the mysterious cursed spirit with a patchwork face. Until the Shibuya Incident, Mahito was a major thorn in the sides of the main heroes, particularly Yuji Itadori and Kento Nanami. He truly had a knack for toying with the human psyche and taking advantage of every weakness he could find. As a consequence, Mahito prides himself on having spawned from humanity's vitriol and hatred.

In many situations, however, Mahito presents himself as an eerily happy-go-lucky individual, allowing him to manipulate weak-willed individuals like Junpei Yoshino. The Disaster Curse of Humanity even talks about the atrocities he's committed like they're just average, day-to-day errands. Mahito is quite the compelling villain — he has said many thought-provoking statements throughout Jujutsu Kaisen that highlight both his nature and that of the world he comes from.
