Japan Box Office: Doraemon the Movie: Nobita's Art World Tales Holds No. 1 in 2nd Weekend

Doraemon the Movie: Nobita's Art World Tales , the 44th theatrical film from the Doraemon anime franchise, earned 576 million yen (3.86 million Usd) on 467,000 admissions in its second weekend, according to Kogyo Tsushinsha . While it was a 18 percent week-on-week drop, the numbers were still enough to keep the film at number one in the Japanese box office following its first-place debut last weekend . The film's two-week gross of 1.4 billion yen (9.38 million Usd) earned from the 1.14 million ticket sales was 116 percent of the previous 43rd film, Doraemon: Nobita's Earth Symphony , which earned 4.31 billion yen (29 million Usd) during its total domestic run in 2024. The live-action film adaptation of Hatsuharu's romantic comedy manga series A Girl & Her Guard Dog opened in 305 theaters across Japan on March 14 and made a third-place debut with 182 million yen (1.22 million Usd) on 133,000 admissions. The film ranked fourth in Filmarks' first-day satisfaction ranking with an average rating of 3.72/5.0 based on 589 reviews.
