Out of all the characters Stanley Tucci has played in his 40-plus years career, there’s one in particular that he relates to the most.

While making a recent appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show to promote his new Netflix movie, The Electric State, the Oscar-nominated actor was asked by guest host Kal Penn, “Which of your characters is most like you in real life?”

He quickly answered: “Nigel in The Devil Wears Prada! He’s very stylish, and he can be a bit caustic. But he’s got a good heart.”

He playfully added, “I mean, I think I have a good heart.”

Tucci starred alongside Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway in the 2006 classic as the fashion-obsessed art director at Runway magazine. Throughout the film, he takes Andy (Hathaway) under his wing and helps her navigate working as the assistant to Runway editor-in-chief Miranda Priestly (Streep.)
