Amanda Seyfried recalls her time on Les Misérables and says she was not quite ready for the challenging role.

The actress played Cosette in the epic period musical film directed by Tom Hooper. In it, she had to sing live, which she found “infuriating.”

“Les Mis was an incredible movie. I loved it. The costumes, the people… We were all really happy to be there, but I, unfortunately, was not technically ready or capable of the live singing in the way that I would’ve liked to be,” Seyfried reflected during an interview with GQ.

She continued, “The process was infuriating. I knew what I had to sing, but they were hard songs. And the acting part of it came naturally and I loved it.”
