DreamWorks' $1.5 Billion Fantasy Trilogy Lands a New Streaming Home
A live-action reboot of the 2010s DreamWorks animated fantasy trilogy, How to Train Your Dragon, is set to premiere in a couple of months, and as timing would have it, fans can catch up on the originals just in time for the live-action film. The entire How to Train Your Dragon trilogy will hit Peacock on April 1.
The first film, released in 2010, earned $494.8 million worldwide and starred Jay Baruchel as the voice of Hiccup, Gerard Butler as Stoick the Vast, and America Ferrera as Astrid. The movie follows Hiccup, a misfit Viking teenager who tries to change the course of the future of his people after he makes friends with an injured dragon named Toothless. The first film has a nearly-perfect Rotten Tomatoes critic score of 99%.
