Propstore | First day of auction totals over $6m worth of film memorabilia, including Chewbacca’s Bowcaster

The first day of Propstore’s huge film and TV memorabilia auction was a success with over 450 items sold. More details below.
Propstore’s Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction kicked off yesterday and it’s safe to say the first day was a success.
Over 450 items of film and TV memorabilia were sold for a whopping total of $6,800,000. That’s an eye-watering amount of money, but among the items sold were some rare and pretty iconic pieces of memorabilia.
One of the biggest sellers was Chewbacca’s Bowcaster with Restored Dressing Components from the original Star Wars trilogy. The bow went for $768, 600 in the end, but it was originally estimated to go for around $500,000. People just love Chewie, I guess.
As far as bowcasters go, this one is pretty nice. Credit: Popstore
A ghost trap and pedal from Ghostbusters also fetched a respectable $327,600 while someone paid $81,900 for Michael Gambon’s robe...
