Eve Ensler’s groundbreaking feminist play has inspired millions worldwide, including a growing movement among Chinese feminists. The first Chinese adaptation debuted in December 2003 at Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou. Though often banned or censored, performances have since spread across university campuses, theaters, cafes, villages, streets and even public transport. A revolutionary action that is still alive today both in China and abroad from the perspective of Chinese-born activists.
