The Karate Kid saga has been sweeping the leg for decades now – you have the beloved 1980s originals with Ralph Macchio, the perfectly solid 2010 reboot starring Jaden Smith, plus the recent success of streaming series Cobra Kai. Now, Karate Kid: Legends is here, looking to bring together both movie streams. At the heart of the story is a new character, Ben Wang’s Li Fong, who has grown up learning kung fu with Jackie Chan’s Mr. Han, the martial arts master from the 2010 film. But when he moves to the US and faces trouble from bullies, he decides to switch disciplines and enter a karate tournament to solve all his problems.
