Kevin Smith’s Dogma Returning to Theaters for 25th Anniversary
Dogma, the 1999 fantasy comedy film from Kevin Smith, will return to theaters this year for a special 25th anniversary release.
AMC Theatres and Iconic Events Releasing are teaming up for the limited release, which will tour through 25 cities in the US beginning on June 5th. Newly remastered in 4K and featuring an exclusive behind-the-scenes Q&a with Smith, the new anniversary release arrives after Smith regained the rights to Dogma from former owner and producer Harvey Weinstein. Smith will kick off the celebration with a special screening of Dogma at The Grove in Los Angeles on Easter Sunday, April 20th.
Widely released on November 12th, 1999, Dogma served as Smith’s fourth feature film and starred Ben Affleck and Matt Damon as fallen angels seeking to return to heaven via a loophole in the Catholic doctrine.
