The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping Logo Teaser Debuts
Today at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, Lionsgate debuted the logo teaser for The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, which will open in theaters on November 20, 2026. The film is an adaptation of Suzanne Collins’s new book that Scholastic released on March 18, 2025.
Franchise producer Nina Jacobson, alongside her producing partner Brad Simpson, return to produce The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping under their Color Force banner. It will be the sixth outing for Color Force since bringing the franchise to Lionsgate in 2012.
Francis Lawrence will direct the film; Lawrence has helmed four previous films in The Hunger Games franchise – every film since Catching Fire.
The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping will revisit the world of Panem 24 years before the events of The Hunger Games, starting on the morning of the reaping of the 50th Hunger Games, also known as the Second Quarter Quell.
