Jackie Chan & Ralph Macchio Team Up in New Karate Kid: Legends Trailer
A new trailer for Karate Kid: Legends has been released. The upcoming sequel sees the franchise unite Jackie Chan's Mr. Han with original franchise protagonist Daniel Larusso, played by a returning Ralph Macchio.
Coming over three months after the first Karate Kid: Legends trailer, the new trailer spends the bulk of its 2-minute and 30-second runtime introducing audiences to the franchise's new Karate Kid, Li Fong, played by American Born Chinese star Ben Wang. Similar to both the original 1984 film and the 2010 remake (which is now canon to the Miyagiverse), Legends follows its protagonist as his life gets uprooted following a move to a new city. As Li struggles to settle into his new life in New York, he enters a karate competition despite only being skilled at kung fu. This leads Chan's Mr. Han, who trained Li in kung fu, to seek out Macchio's Daniel to help him train the next Karate Kid.
