Michael B. Jordan Breaks Down “Technicality” of Playing Twins in ‘Sinners’
Michael B. Jordan took on double duty for upcoming horror film Sinners, playing twin brothers Smoke and Stack in the Ryan Coogler-helmed project.
“Somebody told me something about another guy walking around here looking like me, it’s crazy,” the star joked at Thursday’s New York premiere of the movie, which is set in the 1930s South and sees the brothers leave their troubled lives behind to start over in their hometown, only to encounter a greater evil upon their arrival.
Jordan told The Hollywood Reporter on the carpet that the biggest challenge of playing twins “was the technicality of how we shot both characters. I did every scene like four times, fives times, so I think the balance between going back and forth was difficult at times but you find a rhythm and after a while it was second nature. I had a lot of fun.”
