Another day and another episode of Buried Hearts ending with someone trying to kill Seo Dongju. I was quite enjoying this show until it started feeling a little bit repetitive in its storytelling and dragged on the same plot for way too long. The K-drama tells the story of Dongju, a young man who is looking to avenge the death of his parents and possibly take over one of the biggest conglomerates in South Korea. What unfolds is a series of secrets that help him realize that his entire life has basically been a lie. In episode 12, Ildo learned that he was Dongju’s father. In fact, Yeom’s been lying to him this whole time and has essentially sent him to kill his own son thrice. In episode 13, Ildo finally decides to step away from Yeom and forge his own path after years of being squashed under his foot.
