While J.K. Rowling’s books often depicted Albus Dumbledore as a calm, composed, and confident wizard; John Lithgow, the new face of the iconic character for the upcoming Harry Potter reboot, described him as a “nuclear weapon”. And honestly? He’s not wrong. Because Dumbledore isn’t someone who throws spells around for fun. When he acts, the whole magical world listens.

Like remember when the Dementors crashed Harry’s Quidditch game in Prisoner of Azkaban, and instead of handling the situation calmly, Dumbledore openly expressed his wrath while saving Harry’s life? Well, perhaps John Lithgow is hinting at something like that. So there’s a high chance that the reboot will allow Lithgow to unleash the full “nuclear” Dumbledore we all deserve, at times.
