Donald Trump’s China Tariffs and Morgan Wallen’s Latest Scandal Get Roasted in Brutal ‘SNL’ Cold Open
Donald Trump isn’t holding back. On April 02, the President of the United States of America revealed expansive new tariffs, calling it a “declaration of economic independence.” Declaring it a US economic emergency, he announced a minimum of 10% tariffs across all countries. Sixty countries were hit even harder as the rates only increased for them. The decision will heavily impact South Asian countries. For example, he imposed a 44% tariff on Sri Lanka.
While the world prepares for what may happen in the coming days, Saturday Night Live held no punches back as it took a dig at Donald Trump’s shocking decision. As James Austin Johnson returned to play the President, SNL clearly disapproved of the new changes, in its own hilarious way.
