But just like many in the industry, there’s one role that pushed him to Hollywood stardom. The role in question is that of Charlie Kelly in It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. He joined the show in 2005, and now, almost twenty years later and sixteen seasons down the line, fans still remember it with great affection.
While the sitcom has been a cultural phenomenon, with episodes that can rank quite high on the comedy quotient. But apparently the best performance of Day happened when he completely broke off character.
