‘Severance’ creators and stars talk ‘eerie’ and ‘fascistic’ undertones of Milchick’s marching band
Image
Of all the wild twists in the Severance Season 2 finale, the incredible marching band performance conducted by Mr. Milchick (Tramell Tillman) has emerged as a definite highlight. It has been the subject of countless fan edits, gifs, and memes, and is also beloved by the Apple TV+ show’s cast. Both Tillman and his costar Britt Lower told Gold Derby it was their favorite finale moment on the red carpet ahead of the Severance For Your Consideration event and panel at New Jersey’s Bell Works complex on Saturday. Moderator Stephen Colbert also expressed admiration toward the marching band sequence, while noting its "fascistic" undertones.

“It’s funny bc we weren’t specifically looking for a musical performance, because we’d had a fairly memorable music/dance scene in the first season, and we weren’t actively trying to go and replicate that,” Severance creator Dan Erickson said during the panel.
