As I have mentioned many times before, the main reason Korean cinema reached the status it holds in international cinema is largely due to the plethora of masterful crime thrillers produced in the previous decade. As I have also stated, however, that era is long gone, with many producers and filmmakers milking the ‘recipe’ to the point that the whole genre has become obsolete. “Revolver“, unfortunately, is another title that justifies this notion.
