Harry Potter TV Series' Hagrid Frontrunner Addresses Casting Rumors
Harry Potter is still a beloved IP, despite the ongoing controversy with the author and the fact that the final film was released a decade and a half ago. The eight films had a perfect cast made up of newcomers for the child actors and highly accomplished stars for the older characters, a formula that is going to be hard to replicate.
Warner Bros. Discovery announced a Harry Potter reboot as an HBO Original TV series in April 2023, and now, things are getting closer to materializing. The new TV series is expected to be a more faithful adaptation of the seven novels, although only one character has been cast. During a panel at AwesomeCon, moderated by ScreenRant, Hagrid frontrunner Nick Frost addressed the casting rumors.
