Netflix Is Letting Go of the Ace up Its Sleeves by Disregarding ‘Moonrise’ as an up and Coming Anime
After the recent success of Netflix’s Devil May Cry, the streaming platform has another big anime series lined up in the form of Studio Wit’s Moonrise. The series follows a unique storyline written by Tow Ubukata, who is majorly known for his projects like Ghost in the Shell: Arise and Psycho-Pass. Not only that, but the project also involves Hiromu Arakawa, the creator of Fullmetal Alchemist, as the character designer.
This means that Moonrise has a great team backing up the project, but still there are rumors of the series not being able to become a commercial success. These rumors are the result of Netflix’s inability to promote the series and elevate its name within the industry. This could majorly affect the overall reception of Moonrise which has been in production since 2022.
