
‘A Minecraft Movie’: Matt Berry Vacated Steve Role Due To Scheduling Issues Linked To Strikes

Back in 2023, it was announced that British comedic actor and musician Matt Berry (“Toast of London”) was in the mix to play the character Steve in “A Minecraft Movie,” but ultimately that role would land in the lap of Jack Black and we know have a better picture why Berry exited the video game adaptation (which has earned an impressive $323 million at the global box office in a matter of days).
