All good things must come to an end, or so they say. We still struggle to get over Netflix axing Midnight Gospel a few years ago. Meanwhile, is there an idiom for how bad things must also end? We’re not quite sure. TV cancellation season can be annoying, but networks love trimming some fat, and this season, NBC seems to be the most concerned about this.

It doesn’t matter how big the stars are, how buzzy the show was, or even how much we loved it, if the numbers don’t add up or the audience stops tuning in, goodbye title sequence, and hello chopping block.
