Emma Corrin Cast as Elizabeth Bennet, Olivia Colman as Mrs. Bennet in Netflix’s ‘Pride and Prejudice’ Series
Netflix’s “Pride and Prejudice” series has found its Elizabeth Bennet and Mrs. Bennet in Emma Corrin and Olivia Colman, respectively.
They join “Slow Horses” star Jack Lowden who has been cast as Mr. Darcy, as Variety exclusively reported on Wednesday.
The six-part limited series will be a faithful adaptation of Jane Austen’s iconic novel penned by “Everything I Know About Love” author Dolly Alderton and directed by “Heartstopper’s” Euros Lyn. It will go into production in the U.K. this year.
“Dolly will bring to life Jane Austen’s iconic story for audiences that cherish it, whilst inspiring a new generation to fall in love with Austen for the first time,” a press release reads.
“The Crown” star Emma Corrin will make their debut as an executive producer on the project alongside Alderton and Lyn, as well as Laura Lankester, Will Johnston and Louise Mutter for Lookout Point.
