“Hive Mind Update”: Fortnite Sacrificed a Mode Only to Turn It Into a Feature in Its Battle Royale
Epic Games has never said no to taking a feature in Fortnite and making it better, and Chapter 6 Season 2 brings a new and improved emote feature. The new Dance Emotes have been dubbed the “Hive Mind Update” by the community and have been a highly requested feature.
Previously limited to Party Royale or Festival Mode, you can now dance together with other players with the Dance Emotes.

While Synced Emotes have been part of the game for a while, this new feature allows you to join someone else’s emote, even if you don’t own it yourself!

If you look at the barebones, the new synced emote system isn’t entirely new. Fortnite has already had specific duo-style animations called Beat Synced Emotes.
