James Gunn Reveals 'Peacemaker' Season 2 Teaser and Max Release Date
Over three years later, Peacemaker is finally making its way back to Max with a new season later this year. Now set in the rebooted DC Universe, the mature-rated action series sees John Cena as Christopher Smith aka Peacemaker alongside Danielle Brooks, Freddie Stroma, Chukwudi Iwuji, Jennifer Holland, Steve Agee, and Robert Patrick.
On Sunday, James Gunn revealed that Peacemaker Season 2 will be flying its way onto Max starting Aug. 21. An explosive new teaser was also released, and it features John Cena's titular former villain being proclaimed as a "superhero" now. It's unclear what the upcoming season will be about, but Peacemaker's new status as a vigilante will be an exciting development that will shake up the show’s formula.
