Directed by Vishal Furia and based on a Marathi film named Lapachhapi, Chhorii is one of the better horror films to come out of the Hindi film industry. The film personified the horrors of real life and wove them into a suspenseful narrative. That said, I didn’t like the way the plot unfolded and how things came to such a convenient end, maybe because the first half of the film really set my expectations high. I hope that Chhorii 2, which is all set to premiere this Friday, lives up to the hype and is able to meet the expectations of the audience.
