‘The Pitt’ star Fiona Dourif on McKay’s ‘thicker skin,’ empathy for David, and growing out her bangs for Season 2

Dr. McKay's (Fiona Dourif) day did not end in a jail cell.
As quickly as she was arrested at the end of 14th episode of The Pitt, she is released even faster in the opening moments of Thursday's Season 1 finale. Dr. Robby (Noah Wyle) defends McKay's destruction of her recalcitrant ankle monitor during the mass casualty, while another group of cops vouches for her saving one of their own.
"I was glad that the arrest and the humiliation of the ankle monitor was put to rest pretty quickly because I think that ended up sort of taking over all of the psychology," Dourif tells Gold Derby. "I mean, it's such like a large humiliating event to live through. And there was still so many other things that I wanted McKay to to confront...
