The 2023 drama film Magazine Dreams is finally set to release on video-on-demand after a delay of almost 18 months following its completion, and its visual splendor, as well as its grim tone, make for an intense watch. The plot follows the life of a socially awkward man, Killian Maddox, who struggles to cope with his overbearing loneliness and his borderline unhealthy obsession with becoming a professional bodybuilder. Magazine Dreams is specifically driven by the strong performance of Jonathan Majors, as it makes us anticipate the absolute worst, Killian committing some crime out of his rage, which is quite ironic as well, since Majors himself had been convicted of reckless assault in 2023.
