Finn Wolfhard Says He Was ‘Happy’ But Also ‘Very Confused and Sad’ By His ‘Stranger Things’ Ending: ‘I Felt Like I Was In A Dream’

Having grown up on the set of “Stranger Things” across nearly a decade, Finn Wolfhard has conflicted feelings about the series (and his character’s) ending. Wolfhard, who’s played series protagonist Mike Wheeler since November of 2015, confessed to People that there were a lot of emotions to navigate while filming the finale.
“I was so happy with his ending, and I don’t know, I was satisfied, but I was also very confused and sad, but also very happy,” he said. According to Wolfhard, filming the finale “was definitely a lot. I felt like I was in a dream or something. None of it felt real. I don’t know, it felt perfect.”
Wolfhard (who’s now 22) joined the series at just 13 years old and has grown up in front of our eyes each season alongside co-stars Millie Bobby Brown, Noah Schnapp, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin and Sadie Sink.
