Solo Leveling Anime Studio Lands New Movie for 2026
A-1 Pictures has become one of Japan's leading anime studios, dazzling audiences at home and abroad with action-packed fantasy series like Sword Art Online and Solo Leveling. Recently, the studio announced plans for a new animated film based on a bestselling Japanese novel.
Per Mantan Web, the upcoming anime adaptation of Keigo Higashino's Kusunoki no Bannin (Keeper of the Camphor Tree) will debut in Japan in 2026. Initially published in 2020, the book has sold over one million copies since its release. Its story follows Reito Naoi, a man who is abruptly fired from his job and then wrongfully arrested.
