Pokémon Emerald Controversy Catches Nintendo's Ire for 'Illegal' Modifications During Hololive Stream

Hololive's Usada Pekora, recently revealed as the world's most popular VTuber by viewership data, recently took to her live stream to play Pokémon Emerald and hunt for a Mew. However, things did not go as planned for the popular VTuber.
The idea behind the stream was for Pekora to challenge herself to hunt for a Mew through multiple used cartridges of the game until she found the legendary Pokémon. However, the VTuber may have inadvertently streamed while playing on a modded cartridge of Emerald, which has now caught the eye of Nintendo, per Japanese news site Inside Games.
