As Easter draws closer, The Chosen franchise is looking to capitalize on the holiday with a massive box office performance. The fifth season of the biblical television show is now being screened in its entirety in theaters, in three separate installments. The first two chapters — The Chosen: Last Supper - Part 1 and The Chosen: Last Supper - Part 2 — have grossed a combined total of almost $30 million, and have successfully pushed the franchise past an unprecedented milestone. This number will only increase by next week, when all three parts will be available to watch either separately or together.

Last Supper - Part 1 has grossed almost $19 million so far, while Last Supper - Part 2, which debuted a week later, has now hit the $10 million mark. Combined, the franchise’s domestic box office haul has now passed the $100 million mark. This is an incredible result for what is still, primarily, a TV show.
