Samsung Electronics is making a major play in the U.K. virtual production space, unveiling a partnership with the venerable Twickenham Film Studios and VP specialists Quite Brilliant to create one of the largest permanent LED display sound stages in Britain.

The facility, to be housed at Twickenham’s historic Stage 3, will feature a massive 24 x 4.5 meter back wall, 105 square meter LED ceiling, and additional mobile LED totem walls, complete with a permanent turntable and motion control crane. The installation is scheduled for completion by the end of June this year.

The installation represents Samsung’s first major LED screen build in the U.K. and only its third globally, after Paju, Korea and Paris, France. The new U.K. facility will utilize Samsung’s latest Ivc 2.1 pixel pitch technology and Arri color calibration management system.
