‘Sinners’: Ryan Coogler Didn’t Just Turn Hailee Steinfeld Into a Vampire, He Made Her Revisit Her Ancestry That Shocked Everyone
Hailee Steinfeld plays a multi-racial woman, Mary, in Ryan Coogler’s Sinners. The film is reportedly a period genre vampire film with Michael B. Jordan playing twin brothers Elijah and Elias in the film. It is set in the 1930s Jim Crow-era South, and Steinfeld took a deep dive into her family history to research her role.
