Coming soon from XYZ Films and writer/director David Midell is The Ritual, a harrowing new horror film all about the exorcism of Emma Schmidt. Ahead of the film’s release this June, XYZ Films has released a new teaser for the upcoming religious horror film, this time showing a glimpse of an exorcism led by Al Pacino’s Father Theophilus Riesinger, who performed the real-life exorcism in 1928.

In the film, “Two priests, one questioning his faith (Dan Stevens) and one reckoning with a troubled past (Al Pacino), must put aside their differences to save a possessed young woman through a difficult and dangerous series of exorcisms.“
