Doctor Who Episode “Lux” Gets Lowest Ratings in Show’s History
The newest episode of Doctor Who, called Lux, had very low overnight ratings. Only 1.58 million people watched it on BBC One on Saturday night, 19th April. This is the lowest number ever for the show. It’s also the first time the overnight viewers dropped below 2 million.
This is a big drop from last week’s episode, The Robot Revolution, which had about 2 million viewers. Lux was only the fourth most-watched show on BBC One that day. It came behind News at Ten, Casualty, and Blankety Blank.
But there’s more to the story. These numbers only count people who watched the live TV broadcast. Many people now watch shows later on BBC iPlayer, or on their phones, tablets, or smart TVs. Those full numbers, called “consolidated ratings,” will come out later.
