To celebrate Superman Day, DC Studios has released an exciting and heartfelt new look at James Gunn's Superman. The behind-the-scenes video is filled with new footage and commentary from the cast and crew of the first DC Universe movie.

"Being a child, I loved the purity of Superman. It was a time when I was starting to understand what movies were," Gunn shared at the beginning of the video, as a couple of clips from the Christopher Reeve-led Superman are shown. Peter Safran, who co-heads DC Studios with Gunn, then opened up about the road to the new Superman, explaining that Gunn was initially unsure that he should be the one to bring the Man of Steel back to the big screen. "I had been trying to crack it for years," Gunn admitted in the video over top of new behind-the-scenes looks at Superman.
