Former Fox News Contributor Steve Hilton Announces Campaign For California Governor
Steve Hilton, a former Fox News contributor, has launched a campaign for California governor.
He debuted a video that was part biography and part scathing assessment of Democratic leadership, citing Covid lockdowns and crime.
“We got to end the one-party rule that got into this mess. It’s time to end the years of Democrat failure,” Hilton said in the video.

Hilton is running as a Republican, although he will be competing in an open primary next year where the top two finishers, regardless of party, will go on to the general election.
On the Democratic side, former Vice President Kamala Harris is considering whether to throw her hat in the ring in the race to succeed Gavin Newsom, who cannot run again because of term limits.
