The BBC is making P Diddy: The Rise and Fall, examining how Sean “Diddy” Combs’ legacy is now tarnished. Fronted by presenter Yinka Bokinni, P Diddy: The Rise and Fall explores the world that propelled the disgraced rapper to stardom and the system that may have protected him for years. Combs has been charged with criminal offences of racketeering, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution and faces an upcoming trial in May, with prosecutors alleging he “abused, threatened, and coerced women.” Since he was indicted, dozens of lawsuits have accused Combs of using his power to drug, assault, intimidate and silence people. Combs has defended himself against what he describes as “sickening allegations” made by “individuals looking for a quick payday.” Bokinni said: “My job is to tell stories—but never did I imagine I’d be telling this one.
