Kendrick Lamar Leads 2025 American Music Awards Nominations
Kendrick Lamar is a 10, at least according to an American Music Awards tally.
The Pulitzer Prize-winning rapper leads this year’s Ama nominations with a total of 10: Artist of the Year, Album of the Year (Gnx), Song of the Year (“Not Like Us”), Collaboration of the Year (“Luther” with Sza), Favorite Music Video (“Not Like Us”), Favorite Male Hip-Hop Artist, Favorite Hip-Hop Album (Gnx), Favorite Hip-Hop Song. Should Lamar win in all eight categories, he would tie Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston for the most awards in a single year.
Following Lamar, Post Malone received eight nominations; while Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan and Shaboozey received seven nominations each. The show will be hosted by and include a performance from Jennifer Lopez.
