David Tennant is a major name in the world of entertainment. The Scottish actor has made a name for himself on the stage, but also on the screen. You may know him from the hit series Doctor Who, as well as the brilliant mystery drama Broadchurch, but he also appeared in the Harry Potter series on the big screen.

In The Goblet of Fire, David Tennant appeared as the Deatheater Barty Crouch Jr., who kidnapped and impresonated Alastor Moody as Hogwart’s Dada professor. Outside his acting work, Tennant is also an activist and has been supporting various minority rights for some time now.

In light of the trans rights-related controvery started by J.K. Rowling, David Tennant has recently decided to comment on that issue, becoming the latest Harry Potter alumn to defend trans people against Rowling’s comments.
